Glue wooden cabochon in setting

In this DIY tutorial we show them how to glue a wooden cabochon in a setting.

Jewelry with cabochons look great and offer many combination possibilities. The popular glass and polariscabochons are now joined by wood, a new material. The wood is colored in beautiful shades. With a laser, the motifs are burned onto the wood and appear in a brown tone. This gives the wood cabochons a beautiful natural look.
The cabochons come in different sizes, colors and motifs. In the instructions we show how to glue the wooden cabochons.
In this tutorial we show how to make a necklace with wooden cabochon pendant. You need a ball chain, chain connectors, pendant with setting, wooden cabochon and dispersion glue.
First, the wooden cabochon is glued into the setting. Dispersion glue is particularly suitable. The adhesive is spread in a thin layer over a large area of the cabochon.
The wooden cabochon is carefully placed in the setting and lightly pressed. The finished pendant must now dry well. We recommend to let the pendant dry for at least 12 hours.
So that the pendant can be worn around the neck, it is pulled onto a ball chain and the chain is closed with a ball chain connector.
You can also glue the wooden cabochons on slider beads with setting. A combination with metal sliders with matching motif looks very good!
The special tip: Wooden cabochons can be used not only for jewelry. They also look great as a motif on bookmarks. In our store you will find a selection of different bookmarks. It is the same processing, as for the jewelry pieces.
