Metal Stamping
Individual jewelry is the latest trendYou
can use stamps to process and individualize surfaces such as metal or leather. We'll show you here how you can emboss a motif on a pendant in just a few steps and color it with stamping ink. Once you've familiarized yourself with the simple basic technique, you'll soon be ready to tackle more complex stamp motifs. You can find many useful tips and tricks and further instructions here in the store.
Stamping
Place the metal on a straight and hard surface. We recommend a stamp block.
Place the stamp in the desired position on the metal. The lettering on the stamp should always face you
.

Stamp the metal with a single strong blow of the hammer.

You will now clearly see the outline of the stamp design on the metal tag.

Contours
So that you can see the motif well on the finished pendant, the contours still need to be colored with special stamping ink.

Coloring
The stamping ink is available as color pencils or in small dosing bottles. We used a color from the bottle here. We applied the ink to a cotton swab. With the cotton swab you can roughly trace the contours of the motif.

Polishing
After coloring, you need to quickly wipe off the excess paint with a paper towel. The smooth surface of the pendant becomes silver again. The color will only settle in the depressions!

Tip
If the color cannot be removed from the metal piece without leaving residue, you can carefully remove small spots of color with a cotton swab soaked in nail polish remover.
