A big bead trend is Katsuki beads. You can currently see these beads in many pieces of jewellery such as bracelets, necklaces or mobile phone chains. You will also find a large selection of Katsuki beads in our Glücksfieber shop.

What are Katsuki beads?

Katsuki beads are made of polymer clay. Polymer clay is a modelling clay that is coloured with pigments. In contrast to real clay, the material hardens at relatively low temperatures. You may already know the material. You can also use polymer clay at home to make small objects or beads. You can then harden the clay in the oven.
Katuski beads are usually found in the typical disc shape. The discs usually have a diameter of 4 mm or 6 mm. The height of the beads can vary slightly. But new shapes are constantly being added. At Glücksfieber you can now also find Katsuki beads in barrel shape. The special thing about Katsuki beads is the material. The polymer clay has a characteristic structure and particularly bright and strong colours. Sometimes Katsuki beads are also called Heishi beads. In this case, the name refers to the typical disc shape.

What are Katsuki beads used for?

With Katsuki beads you can make beautiful bracelets and necklaces. In our shop you will find lots of ideas for Katsuki beads. We have created the jewellery and mobile chains as DIY with one click. This means that you can see all the items and instructions for the jewellery directly and you can add the items to your shopping cart with one click. We especially like bracelets with Katsuki beads. The disc beads also go really well with acrylic letter beads. So you can make a bracelet with your own name in Ibiza style. Katsuki beads are also great for necklaces. You can make them in one colour or combine Katsukis in different colours.
We also like the Katsuki beads as a mobile phone necklace. Here we like to combine the beads with other colourful beads made of polymer clay such as hearts, fruits or smiley beads.

The wonderfully colourful and varied Katsuki beads are definitely fun to work with and also to wear. Another great advantage of the beads is their relatively large threading hole. So you can use the beads for many different threading materials like silicone ribbon, leather ribbon or cotton ribbon.
