Basic glass cabochon
This cabochon is made of glass and is transparent. The shape of the cabochon is round.
A cabochon is a gemstone with a flat, smooth underside. This is also referred to as the bonding surface. The surface of this cabochon is rounded and has a dome.
Transparent glass cabochons are used for cabochon jewellery. Paper motifs or photos can be glued under the cabochon. You can also paint the underside, e.g. with colour or nail varnish.
There are many settings for making cabochon jewellery. These include pendants, rings or ear studs, but also bookmarks with a special adhesive surface for cabochons.
