Star box gift box

Star box gift box

For Christmaswe like to give homemade gifts. That's why we were looking for an original packaging idea for our lovingly made jewelry. We found what we were looking for and decided to use take-away packaging that you know from Chinese snack bars. This time, however, the pretty boxes do not hide delicious noodles, but our Christmas gifts. The size of the boxes is ideal for jewelry.

In keeping with the Christmas season, we decorated the boxes with a star pattern. In the outer wall of the box are punched in a star-shaped arrangement feather holes and then connected with a ribbon. Tapes with a diameter of 1 - 2 mm are suitable for this. In our webshop you will find a large selection of colorful cotton and nylon ribbons.

To make your work easier, we have produced a star template. With this you can easily draw the star shape on the box. Of course you can also buy the China boxes in our webshop!

We decorated the boxes with an eight-pointed star. There is a template for this. Before you can make the first gift box with star, you must first punch out the threaded holes from the template with a hole punch.
Place the template on the box and start drawing the felling holes.
Mark all eight felling holes on the box with a pencil.

When you take the template from the box, you will now see all eight threading holes of the star.

Punch out the feather holes. You can use a small pair of pointed scissors, a punch or a pointed metal spike.
Now you can start to thread the star. For this you need about 2 meters of ribbon. Make a knot at one end of the ribbon. The knot should prevent the ribbon from slipping back out through the first threading hole. Leave about 5 cm of ribbon behind the knot so that you can later knot both ribbon ends together.
Now start connecting the opposite end points of the star.

Connect all eight opposite points with the tape. This creates the basic framework of an eight-pointed star.
Now you just have to connect the individual star tips together.
Each tip of the star you need to connect with two other tips. This is how you gradually create the star pattern for the gift box.
When you have connected all the tips together, you will have some ribbon left over. On the inside of the box you can knot both ends of the ribbon together. You can cut off the excess ribbon with scissors.
Now you have finished decorating the gift box. All that's missing is a little something that you can give away in the box. In our jewelry instructions you will find the right piece of jewelry.
