Sail rope easy to cut without fraying
In this DIY tutorial, we'll show you how to cut sail rope very easily without the tape fraying.
Sail rope is wonderful for nautical bracelets and key chains. Unfortunately, sail rope frays easily when cut. Here we show you a trick how you can easily cut sail rope without fraying. You can then easily process the rope.
First you need adhesive tape. Here we have taken a semi-transparent adhesive tape. You can see it better on the dew later.
First measure the length of the piece of sail rope that you want to use later. Wrap the rope very tightly at this point with the sail rope.
Cut off the adhesive strip.
The next step is to cut the rope with a ceramic knife. Place a suitable cutting pad underneath you for cutting. Place the knife in the middle of the adhesive strip and cut through the rope.
The rope is now cleanly cut at both ends. The two ends of the rope are still wrapped with the adhesive strip. So you can easily process the rope and glue it into a closure or an end cap.
