How do I thread a flower from beads?

Threading a flower from beads is not difficult and gives many pieces of jewelry that special something.

The petals consist of 6 to 7 beads and one be ad forms the center.
Ideal is a bead size of about 4 mm for the petals and of 4 or 6 mm for the center. If you choose a 4 mm bead for the center, 6 beads will be enough for the petals. If you choose a 6 mm bead you need 7 beads.
The effect of the flower is more beautiful the greater the contrast of the two bead colors.

Depending on the jewelry you can use different threading materials: e.g. Beadalon Wilfire or Illusion Cord (Beadalon Supplemax) The flower works well with a thread diameter of 0.25 mm. You also need a beading needle to work well.

The basic pattern is always the same and threaded in a few steps:

1. thread 4 be ads in the color of the petals on the thread.

2. now string the bead for the center of the flower.

3. thread the thread now again through the first be ad of the petal and pull the thread tight. The first half of the bead wraps around the center point. 4.

Now pick up the remaining 2 to 3 beads for the flower with the needle. 5.

5. now go with the needle through the fourth bead from the first part of the flower wreath.

Pull the thread tight again and the flower is closed. If you want to give the flower more stability you can pass the thread through the complete outer bead wreath again.

The flower looks beautiful as a single flower in a plain beaded bracelet or as a whole bouquet for the wrist when you thread flower to flower.
