Make your own bracelet with sliding metal clasp - double band
So easy you make this bracelet with sliding clasp yourself
For this bracelet you need jewelry ribbon with a diameter of about 1 mm of nylon or Baunwollband. The ribbon is later doubled around the wrist in this bracelet. You will also need a sliding clasp and a bracelet connector. A beading needle makes it easier for you to thread the ribbon through the clasp.
Depending on the wrist size you need a piece of tape about 40-50 cm long. The ribbon stays in one piece!
Start by pulling the ribbon through an opening of the slide closure.
Then thread the other side of the tape through the second opening of the clasp.
The clasp should be approximately in the middle of the tape. The tape runs across the front of the clasp.
In the next step you can start to thread the bracelet connector onto the band. To do this, turn the bracelet over once. The clasp is now facing away from you. Take one side of the ribbon and pull it through one eyelet of the bracelet connector.
Now repeat this on the other side of the band and thread the band through the still free eyelet of the bracelet connector.
Now turn the bracelet around again. The clasp is now in front of you again. Now take one end of the band and pull it through an opening of the sliding clasp. The end of the band should be in front of the clasp.
Repeat this on the other side of the sliding clasp. The bracelet connector is now connected to the band on both sides and the clasp sits on the band. You can now move the clasp back and forth to change the size of the bracelet. Test how big the bracelet needs to be so that you can comfortably pull it over your wrist. Slide the clasp onto the band so that the clasp is facing the bracelet connector.
Close both ends of the ribbon with a double knot. This will prevent the ribbon from slipping out of the clasp when you wear it later. You can shorten any overhanging ribbon with scissors. You can also carefully melt the knots with a lighter.
