Make macramé bracelet

In this DIY tutorial we show them how to make a macramé bracelet.

Divide the ribbon (approx. 2.5 m) into four pieces. Thread one ribbon through each eyelet of the metal pendant until the ribbon is centered on the metal pendant. Fix the ends of the ribbon to the tabletop with scotch tape. The black threads are called the carrier threads. The knots are made on these. Take another piece of ribbon and slide it under the metal pendant.
For better understanding we have shown the working thread, which is knotted in two colors. So you can more easily understand how the tape is knotted. Knot the tape with a simple loop to the fixed tape (black).
Take the right side of the tape (pink) and pass it under the black tape.
Take the left side of the tape (blue) and place it over the black tape.
Tie a knot by passing the blue ribbon under the pink ribbon on the right side. On the left side, pass the pink ribbon over the blue one.
Pull the pink and blue ends of the ribbon at the same time to tighten the knot. The knot must be pulled as tight as possible, so that afterwards you get a beautifully tied ribbon.
For the next knot, the tying direction is changed. The pink ribbon is now on the left side and is returned to the right side under the black ribbon. The blue ribbon is passed from the right to the left side over the black ribbon.
The ends of the tape are now passed through the loop created on the right and left again.
The knot must be tightened again. The pink ribbon is now on the right side again. For the next knot, the side is changed again and the ribbon is guided under the black ribbon, starting from the right.
The same scheme is now made knot by knot. At each node, the side is changed.
Depending on the circumference of the wrist and the length of the bracelet element, a piece about 4 - 6 cm long is knotted.
If you use a cotton ribbon, you can fix the last knot in each case with glue. Especially good for this purpose is "Beadcord Glue" with which you can glue textiles.
Let the glue dry and cut off the excess threads. The black ribbon is shortened to the desired length and closed with a knot.
The second side of the bracelet is knotted in the same way.
Now the bracelet can also be closed with macramé knots. To do this, first lay the two ends of the bracelet parallel to each other.
In the middle of the bracelet again a piece of ribbon is knotted. We have shown the ribbon here again in two colors.
Knot around the ends of the bracelet the new ribbon with several macramé knots.
Fix the last knots again with glue and cut off the excess tape. The macramé clasp is movable. To tighten the bracelet you can increase the diameter of the bracelet. To wear the bracelet tightly around the wrist, you can pull both ends of the bracelet and tighten it again.
