Proper gluing
Adhesive is needed for the production of many pieces of jewelry.
But which one is the right one. We show you here the five most important adhesives that you need for many pieces of jewelry. For each adhesive, we have listed the special properties and our special tip. Below you will find more links to other categories where we go into more detail about gluing in other jewelry projects.
Rhinestone glue
is low viscosity, can be used drop by drop and is easy to dispense. This adhesive dries transparent.
Suitable for: all kinds of small rhinestones and swarosvki stones up to size SS39 (about 8 mm) on adhesive base of metal, glass, ceramics, wood, plexiglass.
Not suitable for: Styrofoam, PVC, PET, PE, PP, nylon, rubber , soft plastic types and plastic rhinestones.
Drying time:Depending on the amount of adhesive used, at least 48 hours, with larger amounts of adhesive up to four days.

Jewelry glue
Is thick and pulls threads when gluing, so it is suitable for larger surfaces and stones from 10 mm in diameter. This glue dries transparent.
Suitable for: Glass, wood, metal, leather, fabric, ceramics, stone, larger rhinestones and Swarovski stones (from 10 mm diameter).
Not suitable for: Styrofoam, PVC, PET, PE, PP, nylon, rubber , soft plastics, printed paper.
Drying time: depending on the amount of adhesive used, at least 24 h hours
Is thick and pulls threads when gluing, so it is suitable for larger surfaces and stones from 10 mm in diameter. This glue dries transparent.

Superglue
is very thin and easy to dose. Adhesive dries transparent.
Suitable for: PVC tape, plastic, nylon (but not for PE and PP), natural and synthetic rubber, rubber, foam rubber, metal.
Not suitable for: Rhinestones and Swarovski stones, the adhesive destroys the silver foil on the back of the stones.
Drying time: rubber/rubber 10-30 sec., metal/rubber 20-40 sec., metal/metal 1-2 min., plastic/plastic 1-3 min.

Suitable for: PVC tape, plastic, nylon (but not for PE and PP), natural and synthetic rubber, rubber, foam rubber, metal.

Dispersion adhesive
Is viscous and easy to dispense.
It is highly elastic and extremely strong.
The adhesive is free of plasticizers and solvents.
In liquid form, the adhesive is milky white. The adhesive dries transparent
Suitable for: Paper, cardboard, cardboard, textiles, felt, cork, leather, wood with itself as well as on stone, glass, ceramics, metal, Styrofoam® and many plastics.
Not suitable for: PE, PP, rubber and nylon
Drying time:good initial strength after only a few minutes. The bonds should cure overnight before mechanical stress is applied.
Is viscous and easy to dispense.
It is highly elastic and extremely strong.
