Long chain without clasp

In this DIY tutorial we show them how to make a long chain without a clasp.

This ornament has fascinated people in many countries for centuries. It can be found on many buildings and works of art.
As a pendant it decorates necklaces, bracelets or earrings. The amulet fits especially well as a pendant on long threaded chains.
In this tutorial we show how to make a long chain without a clasp.

Thread your favorite beads on jewelry wire in thickness 0.45 mm. The pendant is in the middle of the chain. Thread as many beads until the desired length of the chain is reached. So that the chain can be comfortably pulled over the head, the finished chain should be at least 70 cm long.
To close, a crimp bead with a diameter of 2 mm is pulled onto each side of the jewelry wire. Then, depending on the size of the ball, one to three beads are threaded through both ends of the wire in opposite directions. Here we have used two beads with a diameter of 8 mm each.
Thread the jewelry wire through each of the crimp beads on both sides again. Pull both ends of the wire at the same time so that the beads all lie on the jewelry wire without gaps. Squeeze the crimp beads together with a pair of flat-nose pliers.
Then cut off the protruding wire ends with side cutters as close to the crimp bead as possible.
The chain is now inconspicuous and tightly closed, without the need for additional closure.
The special tip:
Long chains can also be threaded very well on bead silk. Chains threaded on beaded silk fall very soft and smooth. Here, the beaded silk is pulled through two balls in opposite directions to close the chain. The beaded silk is knotted tightly next to each of the closing balls. The knots are secured by bead silk glue. The excess thread is cut off.
