In this step by step DIY tutorial, we'll show you how to make a necklace with an interchangeable pendant yourself.

Make change pendant with change stick yourself
The great thing about a change pendant is that the pendant can be opened again and again and equipped with new beads. The interchangeable pendant consists of a rod with screw thread and a clasp with closure, also with screw thread. The beads can be exchanged on the rod again and again. The pendant can be opened and closed again and again by the screw cap. We have interchangeable rods in different lengths in our webshop. Matching turning parts to close the rod are available in different shapes and sizes.
For the illustrated interchangeable pendant you need: a ball chain, a split ring, an interchangeable rod with 35 mm length, a sphere-shaped turning part and one polarisk ball each in 8,10 and 14 mm diameter.
First you need to attach the split ring to the interchangeable bar with the binding ring pliers. This way you can later easily pull the finished pendant over the clasp of the ball chain and also replace the complete pendant on the chain.
Then you can start threading the beads onto the interchangeable rod. The interchangeable rod has a diameter of 1.3 mm. So you can use any bead for the pendant that has a hole diameter larger than 1.3 mm.
You can fill the rod with as many beads as fit on the rod. However, the thread must still be visible at the end. Here are three beads in ball shape with 8, 10 and 14 mm diameter.
Now screw the rotating part onto the interchangeable rod. The pendant is thus firmly closed, but you can open it again at any time and decorate it with new beads.
The finished interchangeable pendant now only needs a chain. Pretty looks a ball chain to the pendant. But you can also use any ribbon, for example, leather or cotton.
