Sailing rope with a diameter of 10 mm
This sailing rope has a diameter of approx. 10 mm. The surface of the rope is coloured and braided. It consists of 16 strands.
The prices refer to one metre of rope. If you order several metres of rope, we will leave the rope in one piece!
The material of the rope is PPM. The abbreviation stands for polypropylene multifilament. It is also known as Hostalen, Softlene, Leolene or Multifil.
This material has many positive properties:
Relatively light
Uniform surface
Floats in water
Does not absorb moisture
Washable at 30°
Minimum breaking load 1150 kg (maximum tensile stress under which the rope breaks)
Our tip for processing:
The tape frays when cut. You can seal the ends with a lighter after cutting. If you wrap the area in the ribbon with adhesive tape before cutting and cut through the adhesive tape, you can completely prevent fraying.
So much beauty can be created from the rope:
Key rings
Sailing rope is perfect for making key rings with engraved end caps or intermediate pieces.
Jewellery
It is also very popular for bracelets and necklaces as it has a pleasantly soft surface.
Dog leads
You can also use the rope to make dog leads.
